CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Hi, I’m Will Lingard – professional handyman and owner of Surrey Hills Handyman. I’m proud to offer handyman services to the residents of Guildford and the surrounding areas (for a full list of locations, click here).

First and foremost, I hope you are keeping well and staying in touch with those around you, even if you can’t be physically close.

As we are all aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) is impacting almost every aspect of daily life. Nonetheless, houses still require maintenance, and with many people spending more time at home right now, the need is arguably greater than ever.

Surrey Hills Handyman remains open for business, and I’d like to outline the steps we are taking to address coronavirus (COVID-19) in our work

Mitigation Protocol

In order to do our part in reducing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), and to ensure that you, our customers, feel comfortable, Surrey Hills Handyman will be undertaking the following precautions until further notice:

Shopping as little as possible in physical stores
Wherever possible, materials will be ordered from suppliers who can deliver to the company address. This will minimise interaction with shop workers and the public.

Removing physical contact with clients
Employees will forgo shaking customers’ hands, and will maintain a minimum distance of 2 metres (6 feet) at all times from customers and other members of the public.

Elevating hygiene practices
We will sanitize hands, tools, and relevant vehicle surfaces after each and every job. Disposable latex-free gloves will be worn wherever possible.

Practising ‘contactless services’
Surrey Hills Handyman already conducts 99% of its billing digitally, through email invoices, BACS transfers, and card payments. Cash and cheques will not be accepted until further notice. Physical business cards will not be available, but digital copies (or links to the company website) can be provided upon request.

Further Questions

If you have any concerns about this protocol, suggestions for how to improve it, or simply would like to speak to us about how we can help you during this unusual time, please send an email to will@lingardjones.co.uk and we’ll reply as soon as we can.
